Everyone owns and uses knives and other cutting tools almost every day. When the knives were new they were probably pretty sharp but it didn't take long for them to start becoming dull. Unfortunately, cutting with dull tools is frustrating, difficult, and even dangerous. You may have heard the saying that the most dangerous knife is a dull knife. This is because you have to exert so much extra force to cut which can result in you slipping and hurting yourself. Some of us might try to sharpen on our own but often find it can be very time consuming, messy, and difficult to get good results. Eventually, most of us just give up and either learn to live with dull knives or buy one of those cheap sharpening tools you drag across your blade. These tools are very damaging. They grind away metal, often in an uneven manor, making the edge rough and serrated which may help the knife cut better for a little while but isn't really a good edge.

We started this business so that you don't have to struggle learning to sharpen or just live with dull knives any longer. Almost every product we own requires maintenance and care but, sadly, cutting tools seem to be the most neglected. In the same way that you periodically need to change oil and rotate tires or do a tune up in your vehicles to keep them running optimally your cutting tools should be cleaned and sharpened. A properly sharpened and cared for knife should remain sharp and perform well for months.
